LONG weekend Mix!

HAPPY FRIDAY! HELL YES, Ive been waiting for this Friday all my life! I am so excited for a long weekend, and I'm taking Tuesday off, too. HOLLLLLER! I need this break, friends.

Anywho....this mix is all about long weekend happiness and summer fun. I think the way I'm gonna roll these mixes is do a mix mix every other week and the bi-weeks do a more specific theme (ie-last week was Motown.) I hope that is okay with you all. I just love making mixes. I hope you like them too!
Here is goes!
http://mixtape.me/p/16380

1. Reunion-Stars. I had never heard of Stars until I met Amanda. This is one of the first *new to me* bands she introduced me to. I think these guys know how to get it done. The lyrics of this song really strike up a summertime feel to me. enjoy it!
2. California Waiting-Kings of Leon. I think the first two Kings of Leon albums are their best. This little diddy comes from their first album. Things were a little more gritty back then and a little less arena rock. good stuff.

3. Nineteen-Tegan and Sara. Y'all know I live these sisters. they are so good. I remember hearing this song when I first came out and it moved me a little bit. I remember being young and not totally getting a specific close relationship I had and for whatever reason, this song connects me to those feelings.

4. Wide Eyes-Local Natives. In case you haven notice, I'm a little obsessed with this band. So beautiful. the Poly Rhythms, the harmonies, it all just gives me goosebumps. Looking out my window right now-into the giant blue sky, this song makes me feel really good.

5. Manic Depression-Jimi Hendrix Experience. Mitch Mitchell is one of my all time favorite drummers. He isn't just playing a beat, he is driving the song. And Jimi Hendrix-well there is a reason why he is legend.
6. Daydream in Blue-i monster. This was king of my mixes back in about 2003-2005. I really like it. it is real weird, but the vintage sounding vocals, background strings and slam into the chorus is pretty cool. It makes me bob my head. I like that.

7.Gin and Juice-Snoop Dogg. I don't feel like I really need to explain this one. I remember the video really well, I was in maybe 4th or 5th grade and I didn't always understand the lyrics. And now I do and it still makes me want to roll down some crowded road on a steamy summer eve. perhaps sippin on Gin and Juice.
8. Bag of Hammers-Thao and the Get Down Stay Down. Amanda and I saw these guys when they came to town a few years ago. They played the Triple Rock and not enough people were into it. A and I stood close, danced and sang throughout the show. At the end we went to thank Thao and tell her she is great. But she ended up telling us that WE were great, and she was watching us sing along and dance the whole show. She even told us WE were the best part of the show for her! HOW COOL!

9. Summertime-DJ jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince. Before Getting Jiggy wit it, and Just the two of Us, there was OLD SKOOL Fresh Prince. I love this shit. just lay back, because it IS summertime!!!!
10. The Gaudy Side of Town-Gayngs. So this mega group consists of a handful of great artist from Mpls. "Gayngs are an indie supergroup, led by producer Ryan Olson, and their debut album Relayted features as many as 25 musicians – members of a variety of Minneapolis bands including Solid Gold, Megafaun, Lookbook, Leisure Birds, Rhymesayers (rapper POS), the Rosebuds and, most famously, Bon Iver – Mike Noyce appears here on guitar and vocals, while Justin Vernon lends his sweet falsetto to a couple of tracks." I don't like solid gold, but everything else is great to me! Enjoy this long mellow hit.

11. Spoon-Car Radio. This is a live version of the song. (all I could find) This is also the very first Spoon song I ever heard. I was really into it in High School, and I had no idea who Spoon was. I just loved this song. Car Radios are directly connected to summer fun (if a car is involved....duh!)

12. The GoGo's-Vacation. All I ever wanted, all I ever needed.....

13. Go Do-Jonsi. Ive always really LOVED Sigor Ros, so this side project makes me happy. It is a little more upbeat than most of the Sigor Ros stuff-a little more pop friendly, if you will. It is prefect for a sunny *SUMMER* afternoon. While I have no idea what words he is singing (if they are even real words....) but they still sound beautiful. proof that not every good song needs to have amazing- moving lyrics. Sometimes the melody is enough.

14. Venus as a Boy-Bjork. Bjork blows my mind all the damn time. Her voice is the most amazing thing ever. And her music/mixing/creativity are unlike anyone else. I mean who decides they are going to make an album specifically dedicated to being listened to through headphones? Who decides to do that, and then pulls it off phenomenally?oh yeah, Bjork does (Vespertine)

15. The Boys are Back in Town-Thin Lizzy. I love this classic. Yes, I do sometimes think of Toy Story when I hear it, but I also think about summer back when I was a kid. Sitting in my grandpa's backyard, climbing my favorite tree listening to the brewers on AM radio. This song would come on sometimes during the games. I guess that is where the connect comes from.

Alright, Friends. That's all she wrote. Enjoy this lovely weather and LOOOONG weekend! Happy Memorial Day.

Kafe 421

Life has been pretty busy for me lately. Lots going on, and like usual, Ive been packing my schedule-maybe too much....
Anyhow, based on our time apart as of late, Amanda asked me out on a date yesterday evening. It was surprise and I was very excited.

All I knew is that the place we were going had a good happy hour. So I did some research, and of course had no idea where we were going. But we headed to Dinkytown anyways as I guessed about where we could be off to. Turns out, A planned for us to hit up Kafe 421. We have eaten here before-the food is AMAZING and the place is pretty cool.

First off, their happy hour is from 3(i think) to 6. Happy Hour entails $3 beer and wine, $5 apps and Wednesday happened to be 1/2 price bottles of wine. So we split a bottle of wine and chose some items off the appetizer menu. We started with Calamari. While I am not a huge seafood fan, I can handle this stuff, and actually (usually) like it a lot. Amanda also likes it, especially with marinara sauce. It came with Tzatziki, and some sort of Cajun mayo. We also got an Eggplant Milanese. The eggplant was perfectly cooked, the tomato(and i usually don't touch those things) wasn't too overpowering, the mozzarella was SUPER fresh and the basil was great(reminds me that I need to get my herb garden going!) YUM!!!

Lastly, we got Gyro Empanadas. SO SO SO GOOD! I think this was our favorite. to be honest, though, this was not on the $5 app list. it was closer to $9, but worth it. and their Tzatziki is great. Our bottle of wine was really good too. some sort of white wine-not too sweet (we don't like that sweet shit!) and fairly cheap. The waitress told us that that particular bottle of wine was the favorite of server's there. And she said it was good for making spritzers, which A has been real into lately. We sat outside on a lovely evening and had a real good time. As per norm, my mood shifted slightly at one point, but I was able to recover. (Cayla has been in a sort of *funk* lately, and she isn't entirely sure why... :( I'm working on it.)

I suggest that if you haven't been to Kafe 421, you check it out. They also have a pretty good lunch special-soup and salad combo that is amazing. again, I don't typically care for tomatoes, or tomato soup, but they have an AMAZING tomato basil soup. try it.

Here is the link to the restaurant. As you can see, their entrees are a little pricey, but from what I recall, worth it! Enjoy, friends: http://www.kafe421.com/index.html

MWBPC8 Recap (HAPPINESS)

As most of you know, Last weekend was the highlight of my Spring. Minneapolis held the 8th Midwest Bike Polo Championships at Dunwoody college. And hot damn, it was a real good time!

Friday was dedicated to putting all the boards together to make the courts. It involved everyone with a cordless power drill to help out. Ive always wanted to be a carpenter, so this was a lot of fun.

Jon, Pete (my teammates) and I helped out for a while and then followed the crowd to 501 club to pay our dues, get some food, and meet out of town guests. When the people started showing up, I got really excited. Most everyone was very friendly and had good things to say about our city. We stayed at 501 for a bit, but knew the next day was going to be LOOOONG, so we headed home on the earlier side.

When I walked outside Saturday morning to decide what to wear, I saw clouds in the distance, but i could have sworn that the weather guy said it wasn't going to rain. more on this later....
I packed up my stuff and headed down to the courts. Upon arrival, I helped scoop LOTS of granola for the polo players that were hungry. We fed lots of people, and all seemed to be impressed with the awesome(and i mean AWESOME) homemade granola that some of our players made. After that, a lot of pick up was played, which I enjoy watching, because just watching can make you better.

When the tournament started, the sky was still grey, but no rain had fallen. About 45 minutes or so after the first game started, the rain came- POURING out of the sky, dumping on all of us and the courts. I luckily had driven, so more than once, i ran to my car to warm/dry up. After a few hours of rain, I was real happy my team wasn't playing until the afternoon. But then the rain stopped and the sun came out (THANK GOODNESS).

On to playing.... Team Rad(my team) played 4 games on Saturday. The first game we played, we got our asses handed to us (0-10!!!) That made me nervous for the rest of the day. But our second game went much better. We played an all girls team (with some good girls on it) and were up most of the game. But the tied and eventually beat us, 3-4. But we all felt A LOT better about that game. Then we got great build your own burritos for lunch. YUM!

Next, we played a pretty good team, or a team with good players that were having an off day. We held them for the first few minutes, but eventually, they took us 2-5. Again, that game felt a lot better than the first. Our finally game of the day was against another newer team from Milwaukee. This game was super fun and silly. they were very friendly and fun to play with. We tied that game, which meant we were ALL winners! HOORAY!
That night we went to Luce for a slice, and then to One on One for a *legendary* after party. Kegs, derbies, pimps (really, we saw a pimp bring up 3 different ladies from around the corner), you name it and it was there. Jon and I had a blast. I met some really cool people. And I may have convinced a few ladies to come up this fall for Babes in Bikeland. We stayed pretty late (or late for me) and then road home. I was pretty beat up at the end of the day. While I love playing polo, I am still sloppy and still get hurt a lot(see below!). So I slept pretty well. (the below injuries are only a few of many I sustained throughout the weekend. don't worry, I'm okay :) )
( inside thigh-scraped on seat post bolt and bruised up later.)
(Jon and I collided on the court and I went down HARD on my right side...)
Sunday morning was cloudy again, but not terrible. I rode to meet Jon and headed to the courts again. I was happy that we were only going to play 1 or maybe 2 games Sunday. My body was feeling TIRED. And our last game was again fun, and we played the same all girls team we had played the day before. And they beat us...AGAIN! but we really improved a lot by the end of the tournament. that is exciting. And we got Free Pizza Luce for lunch!!!! how cool is THAT?

The rest of the day was spent reffing games, watching amazing players, and learning a lot. One thing that I learned is that our guys (myself included, but I'm mainly talking about our *A* team) need to work on passing. While watching the best teams in the tourney, they are almost always passing the ball, or looking to pass. Our A team just doesn't do that. Well they do pass, but I'm thinking of one main guy that can bring the ball up, doesn't pass it, tried to score and never does, all while a teammate is wide open. Granted, they don't always play as a team. MPLS plays a lot of pick up, meaning we all play with each other. But, I saw that to improve, I need to work on controlling the ball off a pass, and then being able to pass it off again. and field position IS part of that. ANYHOW...
The final games were SO great to watch. MKE (Beaver Boys) play a mix and match team from LA-CANADA (Ottawa, i think) and NYC. The Beaver Boys won in an epic game. I learned cheap ways (ways none the less) to score goals (dribble straight at the goalie and pass it towards the goal as you hit their stick out from under them.) Ill work on my skill....

At the end of the day, we had an awards ceremony, where the MVP male and female, 1st, 2nd and farthest travelled all got really cool prizes. Our team won DFL (mean dead fucking last....)and won new mallet heads-pretty sweet. Then out of nowhere, mini drunk Landon starts up a speech about the "most heart." He was talking about our city getting ready, and everyone helping, and such. And then he goes into a story about a player coming week after week, trying to get better, only to NOT get picked for a team. I had no idea that this was coming..."oh wait" i thought. THAT'S ME...?!?! And Landon tells me to come up to get the "most heart" award, which is an amazing trophy made by a local bike dude, Beau. It is seen below. I got up, and was sort of shocked, choked up, excited, blown away. I got hugs from a lot of MPLS players, and it really made me feel good. I mean, like REALLY good, like we live in the best city EVER. I'm still smiling over this amazing award.
And after that, we unscrewed a million screws, and took down all the courts into the night, I was beat. I wanted to go out afterwards, but it was already pretty late and I had to work the next morning. So I went home.
Overall, the weekend was amazing and makes me want to play polo all the time and get better and understand the game more and get to know the people who play here better. If that all makes sense. Thank goodness for good people. The fine people of MPLS Bike Polo Inc. did a great job throwing this thing and myself and several others that I talked to were so impressed by the organization and dedication to throwing a great tournament. That's all Folks.

MOTOWN MADNESS

Happy Friday everyone. This weeks mix is made up of some of my favorite MOTOWN hits. Usually in my office on Friday, we throw down the Motown to get pumped for the weekend. Hope it helps you too.

ALSO, COME WATCH POLO THIS WEEKEND!!!

So, here is my mix of great MOTOWN.
http://mixtape.me/p/16205
1. Uptight-Stevie Wonder. Ive heard this song done by an assortment of artists, and I always love it. But there is something about the original that is so so good.
2. Just my imagination-The Temptations. I love vocal harmonies, so sweet. And with Motown, there is always a nice falsetto, and I love that. Their voices are just so soft and sweet in this one. I can imagine a nice sunny, country, afternoon drive in a big old shinny convertible....or something like that.
3. Baby, I love You-The Ronnettes. Look ta them. These gals are exactly what I picture when I think of Motown. More than 2 (in this case 3) matching people, all done up in an empty-ish (almost looks like your in a cloud) room, snapping and moving in sync. Me gusta.

4. Try a little Tenderness-Otis Redding. I ALWAYS picture that scene in Pretty in Pink where Ducky comes in and serenades Andie in the record shop. I really like that part and feel for Ducky, because who doesn't, right? This turned me onto Otis Redding when I was younger.
5. You Can't Hurry Love-Diana Ross and the Supreme's. These gals are like the queens of Motown. I almost always think of them when Motown is brought up. just great vocals, all around. I have a Supreme's Pandora station and I love it. part of the inspiration behind this mix.

6. Chain of Fools-Aretha Franklin. It was tough to pick what song to put on this by Aretha. I felt like I needed to put something that people could sing along with, but wasn't RESPECT. So, that brought me to Chain of Fools. Aretha beats all. In fact I'm always looking for more of her on Vinyl. if you have any and you arent listening to it, let me know.
7. Let's Get it On-Marvin Gaye. Yes, I've heard this song a million time, maybe TOO many times, and then I hear it again and I smile. This song was on the first time A and I kissed-talk about a made for TV movie (about Lesbians...) Enjoy.

8. Jimmy Mack-Martha Reeves and the Vandellas. I've always liked this song. I remember singing to it in the back of my moms old school big red boat of a car that we drove back in the 80's. No other good reason other than I like it.
9. Hit the road, Jack-Ray Charles. Again, this song really reminds me of being a kid. It had a comeback when that RAY movie came out (which was a pretty good movie-and pretty sad) but I was glad to hear more Ray Charles for a year or so. He has a great voice.

10. You Really Got a Hold on Me-Smokey Robinson. They used this song on sesame street. Does anyone else remember that? I sure do. Maybe I'll try to youtube that sometime. not today. I also really like the Piano on this song. I like 6/8 time signatures.
11. Reach Out I'll be There- the Four Tops. Hear that tambourine? i like that. keeps my head boppin' (if you will) and the bass line on this is pretty tight. Again, the solid beat makes me happy.
12. I Want You Back-Jackson 5. MJ, I want you back. Need I say more?
13. The tracks of My Tears-Smokey Robinson. I needed to add more smokey. I love him. I wish I knew him. This song is awesome. It was on the Jukebox back in my high school. And on several mixed tapes from my younger years.
Well, That is that. Happy Friday, Y'all. Enjoy the tunes and COME WATCH POLO TOMORROW!!!!!!

3-2-1-POLO!

Hi friends!

This weekend is a big weekend. As you all know, I have recently been playing Bike Polo with some other fine MPLS folks. Twice a year a HUGE tournament is held somewhere in the Midwest. This upcoming weekend marks the Midwest Bike Polo Champions 8 and it is being held HERE in MINNEAPOLIS!!!! This is a really big deal.

A group of Minneapolis POLO players have been busting their asses for the last few months preparing for this great tournament to come to our fine city. Many of you have asked me details about polo-how it is played and other things. This weekend is the time for you to learn! Some of the best players from the Midwest and beyond will be coming here for the weekend to show their skills, wins some games, have some fun and party with the number one bike city in the US.

So what do I need from you all? I need you to come support us. Like I said, a group of my pals have been working very hard on this and I'd love to see them get the credit they deserve. The tournament will be ALL DAY Saturday and Sunday(10-8). It will be at Dunwood College-right near the Walker Art Center. If you aren't sure where that is, just ask. There will be parking, restrooms, food and drinks, and happiness.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE spread the word on this event. TELL ALL OF YOUR FRIENDS TO COME!!!!! It will be unlike anything you've ever seen, I promise!

Here are some useful links.

Local Native have my heart

I feel GREAT this morning. I feel alive, and in love and happy about the spring time and more importantly (well kinda...mini i guess) than all of that, I feel like I have had the kind of musical experience that reminds me all over again why music is SO important to me, my second love, even.

Last Night A and I had the PLEASURE of seeing Local Natives at the 400 Bar. See, the tickets sold out *real* quick, but A(being the sneaky girl she is) found some tickets on craigslist. At first, I felt they were a little over priced (more than double what they were sold for originally) but after the first 30 seconds of the show I could tell that they were worth every penny.

To begin, the 400 Bar is a pretty small, intimate setting/venue. It allowed for the audience (which happened to be a mixed bag of people, and everyone was pretty cool and very into the show) to really experience the music in a way that was much more than just observing and listening. It was moving!

We arrived when the band was doing their sound check. It was super hot inside the bar, but to be honest, I was kind of excited about that. Usually when it is real hot in a bar people dance like crazy because they know they will be sweaty at the end of the night no matter what. And dance they did!
We stood in a kind of weird spot, stage right and kind of behind this little half wall thing seen above. It was actually a pretty good spot to watch the show. We had enough room to dance, a ledge for our drinks and we could see the whole stage (except the head of the guitarists on stage right... ah well) Plus, if we got hot, or I had to go to the bathroom (which I ALWAYS have to do) it was real easy to get out of the crowd. Ive heard a lot of really good things about local natives and have listened to their record a handful of times. I knew I liked their music and would probably enjoy their show. But I had NO IDEA it was going to be as amazing as it was. honestly. let me just break it down. The things I look for in great music are pretty simple. I don't always expect all of these things coming from one band, but having a few of these traits is usually why I start listening to bands. A. Heavy/solid percussion (check) B. Beautiful harmonies (check) C. driving bass lines (check) D. haunting guitar riffs (check) E. moving lyrics (check) F. sweet poly rhythms yet taking advantage of an upbeat( check).....so basically, THIS BAND IS ALL I EVER WANTED IN MUSIC!
Seeing these guys live makes me miss playing music so much. It really made me want to play my drums. Their energy was amazing, their passion could be felt by all of us. I dunno, I fucking loved it. I wish I could see them tonight and tomorrow night and pretty much all the time. Let's get real. I have done ANY kind of rhythmic clapping with a crowd in over a decade. I just don't see it a fit thing to do. But without me even knowing it, it happened. I looked down and my hands had a mind of their own. They clapped with all the other jokers. It was THAT good.
This may sound crazy, and I mean it in a really good way (which again, may sound crazy to some of you) but there were things about the show last night that reminded me of being at a Rusted Root show back in 2002ish. everyone was moving, hypnotized by the music, loving every second of the show. SIDE NOTE: At every show I go to, I usually come in contact with some fool who decides it is a better idea to have a conversation with their friend then listen to the music. and i get frustrated and such. Last nights show was so good even the dip shit talkers were quiet (or singing along!) and enjoying the music! man. so so good.
And yes, they do sort of sound like grizzly bear, surfer blood, yeasayer, freelance whales and the likes. Some one asked me if they were just another part of the "Brooklyn movement." Well, No. First of all, they aren't from Brooklyn. they are from LA. secondly, maybe they sound similar to the above bands because they are part of a *genre* of music. is that such a bad thing? I don't think so. and the above bands listed, well you know I like 'em. But I think Local Natives may have just won first place in my heart. I suppose I should let time tell that one. Will they hold up over a period of time? what a silly question, of course they will.... Anyone living in other cities where they are playing- GO SEE THEM LIVE! you wont be disappointed, I promise. We even stayed out way past our bedtimes and A was still feeling alive and up at the end of the night. Now THAT says something!
Hope you all feel as good as me after listening to some of their tunes: http://mixtape.me/p/16121

SUNSHINE MIX!

What's that?! UP IN THE SKY...THAT BIG YELLOW THING!!!! OHHHHHHH, it's the SUN! So that's what the sky should look like on a Spring Friday afternoon. We have been missing that sun for the last week, and I don't know about you, but God damn, I was starting to get a little crazy. Good thing we have sunshine to look forward to throughout the weekend and into next week. YAY! That is what we were hoping for when planning the SWAP!

Onto the Friday Mix. In celebration of the SUN, i made a sunny day mix. These are all songs that I enjoy listening to when it is sunny outside. Whether it be in my car, on my ipod, or at my desk, as I gaze out the non-opening window, I love these songs and they make sunshine even sunnier.

ENJOY! http://mixtape.me/p/15976

1. I Can't Stand the Rain-Ann Peebles. Originally, I was searching for Missy Elliott, however I came across the original and was feeling it. I dig the slower groove, the horns, and the emotion in her voice. Classic.
2. Long Distance Call-Phoenix. This is some sort of different mix of this song. It isn't as good as the original, however it was all I could find. I love Phoenix and have enjoyed their music since I was in college. I do like their first 2 albums, and you know how I feel about Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix. This one just makes me smile and think back to different days. 3. Sleepyhead-Passion Pit. Ive heard people call Passion Pit just another bunch of weak Brooklyn scensters, and I completely disagree. Of course I have opinions about music too. For example, any music I know one particular music snob from my past enjoys, I am instantly turned off by. And most times when this particular D.bag says he doesn't like something because it is "commercial" or "hipster" i first laugh and think "look in the mirror, dumb ass," and then listen and know I will most likely enjoy it. ranting here....sorry. Anyhow, I like passion pit. I think they have great music and I enjoy the singers falsetto voice.

4. Electric Feel-MGMT. A. I DO NOT like MGMT. In fact, this is the only good song they have written (IMHO.) The crazy thing about it is that it is an AMAZING song. I think it is catchy and hott and awesome. I also have a personal connection to it. This little ditty can go one the list of Top 5 A and C songs (I saw Yeasayer and MGMT the night after our first date, and this song was already etched in my head because of Amanda.) I hope you feel it too.

5. Two Weeks-Grizzly Bear. Yes, I know this song is now all over TV and Radio, but that is because it is so good. I can imagine riding my bike around in the summer time, stopping at lemonaide stands, with 5 year olds treating quarter tips like it is $1,000,000. Plus, the drumming and harmonies are pretty tight, reminiscent of the beach boys in a way.

6. Cosmic Love-Florence and the Machine. I am just getting into this band. I think her vocals are beautiful and moving. Very powerful. Think summer afternoon cruise down to Redwing or something. Ive been told to listen to this group from more than one friend that I highly regard as a music expert. And I appreciate the suggestion (Race and JK)

7. Bang a Gong (Get it On)-T.Rex. Classic. this song gets me pumped up for the weekend the same way watching dazed and confused gets me excited for summer. not much else to say.

8.Wide-eyed, Legless-Laura Veir. Again, she is on the newer side to me, however I am enjoying getting into her latest album. There is something sort of mysterious about this song, which I enjoy a lot. And I like that her lyrics narrate a story.

9. The View-Modest Mouse. These lyrics are great. While this is later Modest Mouse, I still love it. This song is on my top 3 of good News. It has a hair of old modest mouse to it, but also takes a step forward. me gusta. Issac Brock (I've said it before) has a powerful voice in a way that I'm not always good at explaining. It isn't always in key, there is some screaming, and such, but it is so raw and emotional. I first listened to this album after a week of rain back when I was in college, and I remember the first time I heard this, driving home from my janitor job at the U. Still makes me smile.

10. Around the World-Daft Punk. Daft Punk ALWAYS makes me feel good. This one pairs nicely with the happy, sunny weather. I used to put this song on mixes a lot back in college. My freshman year roommate got SO sick of hearing this song, however I can still picture her dancing to it while yelling at me to turn it off. Makes me want to dance and get the hell out of my office!

11. Bounce That-Girl Talk. Girl Talk is perfect music for me. My attention span is all over the place, the beats and song are all over the place. He gets what I like. And this song ALWAYS makes me smile. Just ask A. If I am feeling sad, I can put this on and be up and happy before we even get to the Steve Winwood part (which is my FAVORITE part) It makes me smile SO much. Plus, girl talk live is one of the best things Ive ever experienced. and he is a geeky white dude that just THROWS down.
12. SilverSoul-Beach House. I think Teen Dream maybe one of my albums of the summer, or I imagine it will be. It is so nice and soothing. every song off that album could fit on this mix. I know it seems out of place here, but I thought I'd bring you down quick before finishing off the mix. Let yourself drift....

13. Yes-Roundabout. fuck yeah! listen to that bass line! Yes is one of my favorite Prog Rock bands (original prog rock, that is.) I like putting this song on when at a Friday afternoon happy hour. makes everyones heart beat a little faster. I like it!

Well, That's that. Enjoy the sunshine, Friends. and come over tomorrow for the swap!
